TFT LCD Interface Guide: RGB, LVDS, MIPI DSI & SPI
This TFT LCD interface guide helps OEM hardware and purchasing teams select an interface by checking the host processor, pixel-data requirement, timing, electrical levels, connector, software and validation plan—not by display size alone.
What to Include in a TFT LCD Module RFQ
A good TFT LCD module RFQ should tell the supplier what the display must do, how it will be installed, what host electronics will drive it, and which risks must be controlled before sampling.…
How to Choose a TFT LCD Module for Industrial HMI Projects
Choose a TFT LCD module as part of the complete HMI system—not by diagonal size alone. The operator task, enclosure, controller, ambient light, touch stack, temperature and supply plan should be defined before the…
Copper vs Aluminum Gate Electrodes in TFT-LCD Panels
Compare Cu and Al Gate electrodes in TFT-LCD panels, including conductivity, aperture ratio, adhesion, and diffusion barriers.
TFT-LCD Array Materials: Glass, Metal, a-Si, SiNx, and ITO
Explore TFT-LCD materials including alkali-free glass substrate, Gate metal stacks, a-Si, SiNx, and ITO electrodes.
TFT LCD Photolithography Process and Etching Steps
Understand TFT photolithography, exposure, development, wet etching, dry etching, and stripping in LCD Array manufacturing.
5-Mask TFT-LCD Array Process Flow
Learn the 5-mask TFT process flow for a-Si TFT-LCD Array manufacturing, from Gate metal to pixel ITO electrode.
TFT-LCD Array Substrate Structure: Layers and Pixel Circuit
Understand TFT-LCD array substrate structure, bottom-gate TFT design, pixel matrix layout, and TFT backplane circuit logic.
TFT-LCD Array Process: Structure, 5-Mask Flow & Materials
Learn the TFT-LCD Array process, TFT-LCD array substrate structure, 5-mask flow, photolithography, and key backplane materials.
How to Replace a Discontinued LCD Module Without Redesigning the PCB
A practical OEM guide for handling discontinued LCD modules, EOL notices, PCN/ECN changes, replacement display sourcing, FPC compatibility, interface matching, optical review, and production-line risk control before supply disruption affects mass production.
MIPI DSI vs LVDS vs RGB: Interface Trade-Offs
Compare MIPI, LVDS, and RGB LCD interfaces from an OEM engineering risk perspective. Review pinout, voltage, clock mode, LVDS mapping, RGB timing, backlight, reset, ESD, and bridge IC risks before PCB layout.
LCD Module Sourcing Risks Checklist for OEM Buyers
LCD module sourcing risk is the possibility that a display which looks acceptable on a quotation or datasheet later causes redesign, delay, field failure or an unexpected end-of-life replacement. OEM buyers should evaluate technical…
Common Project Questions
What should be checked before requesting an LCD quote?
Share the known size, resolution, interface, brightness target, touch or cover-lens needs, operating environment, quantity and mechanical constraints. A drawing or photo of the current part can help when available.
Can an LCD replacement be approved from size and connector appearance alone?
No. Compare the actual drawing, pinout, electrical requirements, timing, FPC route, backlight method, optical stack, enclosure and operating conditions before treating a replacement as compatible.
When should optical bonding be discussed?
Discuss it when reflection, contrast under ambient light, touch-stack construction, condensation resistance or cover-lens integration materially affect the application. The appropriate stack depends on the project requirements.
Have A Project-Specific Question?
