Project Fit

Start With The Display Decision

A custom LCD project does not always need a new module from the ground up. The first step is to decide whether a standard display can be adapted, or whether the interface, FPC, touch stack or optical structure needs deeper customization.

  • Device fit: active area, outline, viewing direction, housing space and environment.
  • Electrical fit: interface type, FPC exit, pin map, connector and controller compatibility.
  • Production fit: sample stage, annual demand, lifecycle risk and documentation needs.
Customization Scope

Choose The Simplest Route That Meets The Requirement

Clear scope keeps the project easier to quote, sample and produce. These four routes cover most custom display requests.

01

Module Adaptation

Start from an existing TFT LCD or mono LCD family, then use custom TFT LCD engineering support when interface, FPC, touch or optical requirements need adaptation.

02

FPC And Interface

Review MIPI, LVDS, RGB, SPI, MCU, pin mapping, FPC shape and connector position.

03

Touch And Cover Lens

Add PCAP or resistive touch, cover glass, printing area and AG, AR or AF treatment.

04

Optical Stack

Review brightness target, viewing environment, optical bonding and outdoor readability needs.

OEM / ODM Support

Support For Defined Designs And New Display Subassemblies

The right working mode depends on how much of the display design is already fixed. We keep both paths practical for engineering and sourcing teams.

Engineering References For Your LCD Review

A 4.3-Inch RGB Interface Review

This 4.3-inch TFT engineering reference has an 800 × 480 format, 24-bit parallel RGB interface and no fitted touch panel. Its nominal module size is 105.50 × 67.20 × 2.90 mm.

Review Next: Compare host timing and pin assignments, including RGB data, clock, sync, supply and backlight connections. Check the enclosure opening and FPC route, then confirm touch and backlight requirements for the project revision. A matching connector alone does not establish electrical compatibility.

S3299D For Heated-Blanket Controls

S3299D is an FSTN positive-mode display reference associated with heated-blanket controls in our model records. Use it to review the required display content and fit within the controller enclosure.

Review Next: Define digits, icons and operating states; compare viewing direction, illumination and connections; then confirm drive conditions and final artwork. This reference describes the LCD portion. Heating control, safety and end-product compliance require validation of the complete appliance.

S4102D For Instruments And Meters

S4102D is a DFSTN negative-mode display reference associated with instruments and meters in our model records. Start with the readout and indicator requirements, then assess the display arrangement within the instrument.

Review Next: List measurement values, units and status indicators; check viewing position and lighting; and confirm the drive scheme, connection and enclosure fit. Measurement accuracy and calibration performance belong to the complete instrument and its validation plan.

Send The Details That Decide Feasibility

A short and accurate request is more useful than a long unclear one. Share what is already known, and mark uncertain items for review. During review, confirm the quotation scope, controlled drawing revision, sample acceptance criteria and production-release responsibilities. Use the dedicated custom TFT route for color-module adaptation; this page also covers mono LCD and front-stack projects.

  • Target display size, active area and resolution
  • Interface type, pin map or existing connector details
  • Mechanical drawing, housing limit or reference module
  • Brightness target, viewing environment and temperature range
  • Touch panel, cover lens, coating or bonding needs
  • Sample timing, annual volume estimate and lifecycle concerns
