OEM DISPLAY REFERENCE
S3440D uses an arc-shaped lower edge around a three-digit speed field with mph and km/h legends, a six-digit odometer field, a GEAR digit, a fuel bar with F/E marks and battery and DSP SYS legends. The drawing specifies HTN negative mode and 29 pins on a 2.00 mm pitch.
Images, 3D geometry and listed parameters are OEM reference information. Final dimensions, electrical requirements, optical configuration and construction are confirmed for your project.

02 / OEM DESIGN
Bring your requirements. We will review the configuration with you.
The reference uses 1/4 duty, 1/3 bias at 5.0 V and 64 Hz, with a 6 o'clock viewing direction and an operating range of −30 to +80 °C.
The lower edge is an arc. Match the housing window to the 63.11 × 29.05 mm minimum viewing area and the curved glass outline.
03 / APPLICATION DIRECTION
The source application is instrument displays. The legends and bar segments are fixed; speed, distance, fuel and battery values are supplied by the host instrument.
ENGINEERING NOTES
How S3440D relates to LCD mode, drive, connection and integration choices, with links to the SuccessLCD engineering guides.
High twisted nematic glass: better contrast and a wider viewing angle than TN at a similar cost. Negative mode shows bright segments on a dark background with a backlight. Compare TN, HTN, STN, FSTN, DFSTN and VA →

Metal pins are soldered into the PCB, the most robust connection for segment glass. LCD connection types →
A negative LCD needs a backlight; the look is close to a VFD or LED readout. VFD vs LCD →
04 / PRODUCT SUPPORT
Negative-mode HTN glass is normally viewed with a backlight. The backlight is not part of this reference and is specified for your project.
Both legends are in the artwork. Which one is active is controlled by the driver.
